Date: July – August, 2011
Venue: Secure House, Kwun Tong
In July 2011, Nike launched the latest Just Do It advertising campaign with the idea of “Use Sports To” as the theme. In response, Nike Hong Kong transformed Secure House into, The Field House. The venue showcases a series of art pieces that speaks the language and essence of sports also with a focus on the spirit of Just Do It.
Luna Run is a regular night running event which participants will run through Hong Kong urban area under the great city scenery.
To introduce such running culture, we designed an interactive installation for the Nike Field House visitors.
As our biggest aim, we want to make our visitors run to physically feel the event. To achieve that, a running machine is installed and our program will detect its speed. As default, when the speed is detected zero, the width of each detected photo will be compressed to a level that visitors can’t identify the content. When visitors feel curious and speed up, the detected speed will drive those photos wider to original width.
